All Terrain Stroller
All Terrain Stroller
What is an all terrain stroller?
An all terrain stroller is a stroller designed and built specifically for maneuvering over rough terrain. Most all terrain strollers are equipped with 3 large pneumatic tires and a hand brake.
The three wheels gives you extra flexibility and the stroller is easier to maneuver this way. The all terrain stroller or jogger stroller is usually equipped with a hand brake, which makes it easier to walk in the mountains or go for a jog.
When should I choose an all terrain stroller?
When choosing a stroller, ask yourself if you are an athletic person, do you like to play sports with your little one and / or are you often on rough terrain? In other words: What is your lifestyle like? Do you live in the country or near the city? Do you like to travel in the mountains or would you like to be able to walk through snow and mud with the stroller? If you can answer yes to most of these questions, then an all-terrain stroller may be the best choice for you.
What models are available?
There are several types and brands of all terrain strollers on the market. Think of the Thule Urban Glide 2 stroller and the Urban Jungle mountain buggy. These are real all-rounders. With this stroller, you're just as good in the city as you are on rough terrain. This is due in part to the fact that the front wheel is both swiveling and lockable. If you like to travel on uneven terrain, it's handy to be able to lock the front wheel. However, if you like to travel around town, it's handy to be able to put the front wheel in the swivel position so you can maneuver the stroller comfortably with one hand. With the matching carrycot for the Thule Urban Glide and the Mountain Buggy Urban Jungle, you can use this all-rounder from birth.
There are 2 more sporty all-terrain strollers in our range. Both strollers are equipped with a hand brake, which is perfect for sports with your little one and makes heading out into the mountains a breeze. The Thule Glide 2 Jet is the jogger stroller of the two. With the fixed front wheel, nothing stands in the way of you and your offspring jogging safely and enjoying the great outdoors. The Mountain Buggy Terrain 3, like the Thule Glide, has 2 large front and rear wheels. The difference between the two is that the Mountain Buggy Terrain 3 has a flexible front wheel. You can both fix and swivel this, which makes this stroller a real all-rounder as it is easier to maneuver. Matching carrycots are also available with accessories for both of these strollers, so you can use the stroller from birth.
